I have an 01 Montero xls and I'm pretty sure the motor is bad on the assembly. Is an 03 motor compatible? Also read that an 02 4 runner motor can work as well as certain Lexus modles? Hello would be appreciated

 

Sorry, don't know. But if you confirm compatibility, please post it here. It will be beneficial for all of us to know. Especially interchange with other makers.

 

Try one of the online parts catalogs where you enter your year, model, etc. Drill down to the part you need and write the part number down. Then try it again with the 03 year and see if you get the same part number. Once you get the OEM part number, look for aftermarket versions. Then try same on Toyota parts site. Perhaps you can then cross reference the aftermarket part numbers. Will take so google time from you.
