Default Bad torsion bar??

I have a '96 SR that's feelin' every bump in the road. It has 115k on it and the suspension is all original...

Obviously I need new shocks, but what's the best way to check for a bad/worn torsion bar? I have a factory manual, but it doesn't have any "inspection" details on it.

I assume that it has to be something other than just my shocks -- it's not bouncy, it's bumpy/knocky.

Besides the torsion bar and shocks, is there any other place to look for normal problems in ride "smoothness"?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the shock mounts, ball joints, and struts as well as the stabilizer bar and it's joints.
