Default Ball Joint Replacement.

2003 Montero Sport 105,000 Miles.

Hi,
Can you unbolt the ball joints from the upper and lower control arms to change them individually without having to disassemble things like the torsion bars etc. Alldata and the FSM I downloaded are not clear.

Thanks

Apparently on the 2003 Montero Sport you don't need to do anything more than remove the wheel, support the hub, unbolt the three bolts and remove the upper ball joint as a stand alone part. Did both of mine in about an hour.
