First time, long time.

Searched "Ball Jonits" here and was not able to find answer.

How common is it to need to replace any or all upper and lower ball joints on both sides up front, given that our Montero has over 110,000 mi.

Is there a danger in not addressing the problem, or are we just talking about excessive tire wear.

ps. We are not sure if the $1000+ to replace them is worth it. The trade off being tires wearing out and handling suffers.
