Anyone that went through the accumulator recall, did the vehicle make a squawking noise like a dying bird? What about a loud audible tone and the ABS light coming on almost every time the brake pedal is touched. I am thinking that I have the infamous accumulator problem, going to call Mitsubishi tomorrow, just curious of others symptoms.

 

I had the BBA replaced through the factory recall program.
The symptoms were an audible "chirping" sound coming from under the dash (driver/left side). I never had any dash lights come on, but I had it replaced very soon after the sound began.
The recall has a cap on the amount they will pay for the replacement, and it must be done by a dealer.
If you have a Gen III, check to see if the fuel leveler gauge has been replaced as well (another factory recall item).
