Default Camshaft Position Sensor

My Montero is starting hard and sometimes not at all. The check engine light came on and is indicating a bad camshaft position sensor. Can anyone tell me where this is located on the engine? I assume on the front close to the belts. Is it easy to replace? Thanks.

Sorry, it's a 2000 Montero Sport 4x4 with a 3.0L. I've ordered the sensor but still not exactly sure where it is located on the engine. Can't find a service manual in any of the auto stores. Thanks for any help provided.

Certainly there must be someone out there who knows where this sensor is located.

Autozone sold me the sensor but couldn’t tell me where it was located on the engine. They also didn’t have a manual available for the vehicle and told me that they can't get one either. I looked over the engine last night and still have no clue where the camshaft sensor is located. If anyone can help, I’d sure appreciate it. Thanks.
