Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Will sure do HunterD. But so far no luck. For now, I just use the stick a pin on the ob2 socket and ground it to get abs and 4x4 codes via dash lights.

carlson & hunter,Thanks for the replies.
I bought a centech obd2 & can scan tool w/ abs.
First one Ive ever looked at much less tried to learn how to use it. Once plugged in to the vehicle I found out that it doesnt have abs for my montero sporr. The can ,I think, refers to 2008 or 10 and newer vehicles. One would think this info would be on the box exterior. But no you have to plug it in to learn that and other details. I havent had much time to devote, but I have run through what I can and read some, but Im goimg to have to read and define so many unfamiliar terms. So it will easily take the 90 days I am given before having to return it for my money back. BTW It was $140 reg and on sale for $100 for nov.
Ive got so many other things unrelated to cars going on,that I ll just post as I make meaningfull headway with it. Ill learn what I can for now on this one, then try another one until I find what I think I need. Ill be looking for something that gives me the best chance to monitor ,detect and narrows down the offending part, its location and how to fix?. Theres alot out there on YT,and that helps me learn and also know what I need and hoe to use it. Ill be back.

It just disappoints me when sellers say this and that about the item they are selling and then when you get to use the product it can’t. Haha.

Unfortunately that is just a Standard Operating Procedure for some businesses.
