I live in Costa Rica where the Montero's are a very reasonable vehicle to own. I am in the process of trying to find one to purchase. What is better in the early 90's models, the 2000cc diesel engine or the 3000cc gasoline engine? What is more powerful? I assume the diesel will be more economical here due to the fact that diesel fuel is cheaper, would that be the only factor, or will the engine size play a role as well?
