Does the Alternator Output Have a Fuse?
'96 Montero 3.0
Didn't see any voltage coming from the alternator and it was soaked with oil (bigger problem).
I replaced it with a brand new one and still no voltage hitting the battery.
Belt adjusted nicely and alternator spinning. Both wires reattached. Maybe there is something between the output and the battery? Voltage regulator?

Do you have battery 12v voltage at the alternator with ignition on and engine not running? That is needed to energize the winding to start producing power. When you turn ignition on, do you have Battery light come on? If not, your bulb might be out and that is breaking the circuit to the alternator.

Thank you, Hunter. I do have 12V at the alternator with ignition on and car not running. I do not have the batter light coming on which is strange because I did on Saturday when I'm guessing the alternator went out. Hmmm... good questions. Replacing a few fuses today that have blown - will have more info soon. Thank you so much.
