Default Driveline Vibe?

Alright guys, here's my problem. At 1500-2000 RPMs I have a vibration in the front end. It feels like I'm going over a washboard dirt road (while on smooth pavement) for a second or two. The RPMs spike just a bit when it happens. It happens repeatedly as long as I'm within 1500-2000 RPMs. It never occurs outside of the above RPM range. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

The washboard feeling is referred to as transmission shudder. I would bet on this being your issue. I'm not an expert on transmissions, but I believe it is related to the torque converter. I had this issue in a Lincoln Town Car once. A transmission fluid and filter change, along with a bottle of Lubegard Automatic Transmission Protectant solved my problem. If you use Lubegard, you should check to make sure it is safe for Mitsubishi transmissions. I believe there are other things (electronics) that can cause transmission shudder besides your ATF and filter.
