Default e-fuel injection trouble

hi,

I am about to buy a 2001 Montero iO 1.8 GDI (Pajero Pinin)
it only has 20k km, is like new.

The only problem is, it has to low rpm, so the engine keeps dying quick when
I come to a stop. (unless I turn on the air-condition, which keeps the rpm high enuff)

The former owner said, I ust need to go to a garage and let it re-programm.
I dont have the user manual.

I wonder, if I can adjust the "standing" RPMs (Leerlauf, dunno right word in english) by myself, without reprogramming the whole system.

In the ages before the electronic injection this was pretty easy

regards,
Mojack

Sounds like you have an issue with the main engine computer.
