Since they don't make intakes for the 98 Spyder,
does anyone know if any of the FIPK models would fit.
I seached the K&N website for my specific car with no luck,
but thought maybe someone might know if a FIPK for
another year/model would fit

I have the same problem, I have a 98 eclipse spyder and cold air intakes are only available for the 2.0 liter turbo and non-turbo engines (nothing for 2.4 engines). I went to a racing shop, and I asked one of the workers if there is a intake for the spyder. He looked it up and found one brand, however I don't remember the name and it wasn't AEM or K&N. It was some cheap brand. I have a custom intake put on which was already on when I purchased it. If worst came to worst, you can buy a universal filter and stick it on your hosing. Hope that helps.
