Talking Electric Fan Conversion

Has anyone here done an electric fan conversion in a 1999 Montero Sport. What type of kit is recommended, a single or dual fan arrangement? I know companies that sell conversion kits but I didn't find any conversion for Montero Sport.

Is it advisable to do this conversion? I would like to know the CFM of the stock fan clutch in order to know the type of electric fan for this conversion. I am asking because better mileage can be achieved with electric fans instead of fan clutch.

Any advise is welcome.

I'm in the process of researching this right now also. This will be on the first mods i do when i return from Afghanistan later this summer. From what i've found is that Ford Contour stock fans are what were looking for. It's a dual fan. Not sure exactly what thermostats are needed. I don't want mine on a switch. Anyone that can add to this is much appreciated.

I am asking because bigger engines like the Jeep Liberty, have only one big electric fan instead of a fan clutch. Also the Liberty has the pulley like the ones used for fan clutch. Maybe the Liberty's electric fan might be a good choice.

I didn't do this on my MS, but I have done it on my 77 Ford with a 5.0/302. I used the fan from a 95 Taurus, this is a very popular 2 speed fan swap. I used a $18 thermostatic controller for the low setting to come on automatically at 200^ and I have the high set up on the A/C compressor clutch positive wire so that high comes on whenever the A/C is turned on whether the truck is up to temp or not and just so I can turn it on high if I ever need it.
