1. If you decide to replace cats...there is no need to replace the whole exhaust system. Just the y-pipe coming from the exhaust manifolds....that is where your 2 cats are.
2. I guess it depends on what is wrong with your cats...if its blocked then there will be a restriction of flow and loss of power.
