Default horn intermitent

Hi to all! I have a 98 montero sport that I cannot get the horns to work on. I have replaced both horns, and the horn relay clicks everytime the steering pad is pressed. Occassionally the horn will blow but it is VERY intermittent! Any help appriciated! Thanks Peter

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. If the relay clicks everytime, its between the relay and the horn. Unplug each link, one at a time, spray contact cleaner and reconnect....

I found the intermiting problem. Mits installed the horn relay with a short wire, thus causing the horn problem. Loosen the relay located on the pass fender wall (the smaller relay, cuz there is a big one next to it) repostion the relay to relieve the tension on the wire and that should do the trick. This drove me nuts for 4 months.
