Okay so I bought a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport "LS" and all I recieved was one key. How would I know if the vehicle came witha remote or is setup so I can get a factory replacement? Thanks.

 

First off, I'd call Mitsubishi Customer Service (1-888-MITSU2007) with the VIN number. They'll be able to tell you all the options that the vehicle came with. If you find that the vehicle did come with "remote keyless entry", do a search on Ebay for a remote with programming instructions. You should be able to get a remote for around $20.

Can anyone tell me how to tell if my 2002 montero sport ls came with keyless entry, i would like to know we bought our montero second hand and if it came with them i would like to get the remotes.

 

My 2002 Montero Sport did come with a keyless entry fob. I agree, though, that you should call a dealer and ask.
