Lighter and Accessory sockets dead - both fuses OK

Lighter and Accessory sockets dead - both fuses OK
2001 Montero XLS
Had a 12v air compressor pluged in. Lighter socket went dead, moved to power socket in console and it went dead in short time. Both fuses check OK. Power socket in rear of vehicle still works. What's up??
BTW, I need instructions on how to remove center console.
