Montero won't start

Default Montero won't start
I have a 2002 Montero Ltd, new to me. This is the second time it will not start, last time we found that it was low in oil, added oil and it started. Now it has been raining for 36 hrs and it will not start. Checked the oil level and is ok, checked the radiator level and good. Any one have any ideas. It sounds like it wants to turn over, but nothing

Check for spark and fuel, then compression.
