need help, 00 montero sport 4wd abs

hey guys, i have a 200 montero sport, every time i put it in 4wd the abs light comes on, is this supposed to happen?

nope. its not suppost to happen.

do a search, as its been spoken about before.

did a search did not come up with anything. do you know anything about this? i used a snap on scanner mt2500 but was unable to read the code.

your probably not going into 4wd (which would also cause the abs light to come on) due to failing transfer case detection switches.

so should i try replacing the switch or just take it to the dealer, which i hate to do.

you should obviously have it correctly diagnosed.
