Default New owner of 2002 Montero Limited

Hello everyone

I'm a proud owner of a recently purchased 2002 Montero Limited.
I've been getting all of the maintenance upto date. It did come with 22"rims/low profile tires, a rebuilt transmission & the engine light on. Obviously I was not aware of the engine light.

Long story short...

My transmission guy has already started troubleshooting the code P0741 by changing the TCC solenoid. He also mentioned everything looks clean inside the tranny. I've already swapped the tires for some bf goodrich Ko2 & american racing rims assuming the 22" rims were a drag for the torque converter to lockup.

After 200 miles with the new solenoid the light is back on.

has anyone ever had to troubleshoot P0741 on a montero limited ?
anyone ever tried Shift kits on a limited ?

Any input/help is appreciated.
