Default Oil pressure

Help!!!! I've got a 1987 2.6L sport. I rebuilt the engine (top and bottom). When I start up I get 40lb oil pressure, when the oil heats up I'm getting less than 20lb oil pressure at idle, less than 30lb at highway speed and 40lb at 75mph. The oil pump is new, I installed the eliminator kit and alligned the marks when I rebuilt the engine. I've went so far as to remove the pan and replace the pickup tube ( thought it might be cracked). I'm running Castrol 5w50 and Fram oil filter. No one has been able to tell me what might be the problem.
Help!!!!
