I have a 1997 montero sport with 4wd and open differentials wich sucks off road. my question is does anyone know if a limited slip from another montero sport will fit mine and if so what years

 

I have a 02 Montero Sport with the same open diffs, I haven't been off road yet though.

Would a XLS / Limited model limited slip work on either of ours?

I have an06 Montero Sport here in Q8 and would love to go off-road if my vehiclehad aLtd Slip Diff.

To those of you who know how to do this conversion, it will be appreciated if you could brief us on how it has to be done.

 

Another one of those threads that I have yet to hear anything on...actually went up to a pass near the city and got stuck insome snow .

Man a locker(s) would have helped!!! I had to pay someone to winch me out, and he got stuck before ever reaching my car so we had to use tow straps to make the winch even reach mine!

 

doesn't someone know if an XLS 3rd member limited slip will fit the housing of an LS open diff?
