Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Default Picked up my first Montero.

So I was looking around for awhile for a lower mileage, decent 4 dr daily under 5k. This popped up last night somewhat local to me so I went and looked today and picked it up after reading the good reviews on them. Overall in excellent shape for age. Older lady bought it for her daughter then got it back from her after about 4yrs. Shows two owner but same family. It’s got some slight surface rust in a few spots underneath but nothing major by any means. Mostly front sway bars, a arms etc. Plans are to tint windows, double din stereo, speakers, and would like to lift it slightly with bigger wheels and tires. My main questions are is there any intakes besides the snorkel and any exhausts for them? I haven’t found much in my searching. I’d like to give it a little more acceleration as that was one negative is the underpowered v6. Thanks in advance.

I was in the same boat... Not much out there for the Montero. I ended up keeping the stock system and dropping in a K&N replacement filter... After all the stock system is a Ram Air Intake already. It definitely helped with throttle response and you just clean it instead of replacing it every time.
