Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Default Rate your Tire

Can we have a tire rating thread? Keep it simple?

Rate your current and/or past tire purchases. Keep in mind that everyone has an opinion and different styles, views, needs and wallet sizes. But we all seem to love our Monty's

TBH, I just bought mine and have dry rotted tires. Reading up on recommend tires is getting overwhelming. Haven't been on these long enough or know their history to comment on them either. Some real world views and applications on the Monteros would greatly help, everyone?!? Let's keep it simple and to the point so folks can get some good comparisons. Maybe even keep this rolling for a while. You can cut and paste everything from below and replace the information, this will keep formatting the same so it is easier to peruse.

Year: 2002
Model: Monty Limited
Vehicle Mileage: 132k
Tire Make: Michelin
Tire Model: Dunno cause they are rotting and need new ones anyways
Tire Size: Same
Physical location: IE: North Florida
Driving Conditions: Mixed Dry Rain and some dirt roads
Driving Style: Mixed Highway and City, hard and demanding
Time on Tires: 4 Mo's
Miles Driven on Tires: 700?

Ride Comfort: 9
Cornering/Steering: 10
Ride Noise 7.5
Gas Mileage 7
Tread Life 7
Dry Traction 8
Wet Traction 8
Winter Traction: 2
Off-road Traction: 5
Buy Again: No

Additional Comments
: Not original purchaser, this is just an example

I recently purchased an '03 20th Anniversary and I put Kumho Road Venture AT51 tires on mine. I like them A LOT!!. Not only do they handle good, but they look great on the Monty. I'm in NE Florida. Sorry this isn't the format you wanted. Here's a link where you can check out the reviews.
