Default Rear end knock

I have a 1995 Montero and it makes a solid knocking sound in the rear when turning. I originally thought the exhaust might be loose and hitting something. I have liffted it up but cannot see anything obvious. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Well--I think it might be the bushings etc on the rear stabilizer bar. I'll keep you posted

might be the differential. or the rear gear box. have the fluid drain out and see ifs there any metal particles. altille bits okay but big chunks probably means a new one or a rebuilt.
