Does anyone have any good websites to go to or advice on rebuilding a 3.0 V6 engine out of a 1995 Mitsubishi Montero? The engine is locked up.

Sorry to hear that. Those engines have proven difficult to rebuild. Many head gasket problems after rebuild. Anyway, the people at 4x4wire.com are more like wrenchheads than those on this site.

BTW what caused the failure? How many miles on the engine.

 

dang. I don't really know what caused the engine to lock up. I bought it off of a dealer that way as a parts car for my other Montero LS. I thought if it wasn't too horribly expensive it might be fun to learn how to rebuild an engine to have an extra engine lying around just in case. The engine that locked up has 193K miles on it.
