Ordered a VSS from amazon. Its definitely the wrong part. Looks like the camshaft position sensor to me. Though again all the parts sites show this one i was sent as the speed sensor. Can I trouble someone with an 01 monty ltd to have a quick peek at the part number on theirs? Mine is MR446407. part i ordered was a dorman 917-610.

After some research, I found that there should be 2 speed sensors. An input speed sensor and a vehicle (output) speed sensor. Dorman 917-610 part is for the input speed sensor. The vehicle speed sensor should be the one that sends the signal to the speedometer.
