Hey everyone, I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero limited. I have a rear tail light out on the right side. I see the two screws to remove but I'm having a hard time removing the light afterwards. Do you have to take rear swinging door off to get the plastic out from behind it? Trying to see what you guys had to do. Thanks for the help.

 

Open the door part way, then work the tail light out. In addition to two screws that you see, the other side of the light assembly has two plastic pegs that fit firmly into couple holes in the body. Just move things around and you'll see how it suppose to come out.
