That isn't covered by the recall in Australia.

Can anyone say if MMNA has yet sent out the recall notice for the allegedly faulty airbags for Gen 2's?

 

This is BMW's response in America where they offer to replace the fault airbag inflator/generator. It would seem replacements are available which is contrary to what Mitsubishi Australia is saying. Certainly this is for BMW however it is for a similar MMNA document we're looking. If it exists and MMNA are offering to replace the faulty part then we can call Mitsubishi Australia out and force them to offer replacements rather than the buybacks and scrapping of the vehicles as is currently the case.
