i think my throwout bearing's shot. when i start up the engine, there's this sound that comes up but if i depress the clutch pedal, the sound goes away...do you guys know how long will this take to not work at all?? am thinking about going offroading this weekend..is it alright?? please help..

 

1st... we have no idea what you're driving.


2nd... if the sound is there with the clutch released, its not the throw out bearing. it'll be most likely a trans input bearing.
