Default 07 outlander rear fog lamps

Hi, I'm from Singapore and just collected the new 07 outlander a month back and found this forum by chance. It's great!

The rear fog lights are not fitted here locally - they are red, covers, just like the real thing, but when there is nohole to mount a bulb holder in there - just blank moulded piece.

I am sure i can get the complete unit, but question is whether the factory wiring is already there at the back, and how is it turned on in the passenger compartment?

find the connection inside,if there is one. then if you able to locate the wiring system, then bet ja' you'll need a switch button. (if you cant find the wires, send it back to dealership. bet you they'll find it in seconds) by the way, i, think we dont have that option here (rear fog) in u.s. your outlander is the real outlander, our's is the generic one...lol

im still planning on doing this. My plan was to cut out the reflectors and mount retangulars on the bumper. Id have it wired to the reverse lights so no need for switch. I should have this done by summer

not sure if its still the same rear as the 04, but ill keep you updated

wiring rear fogs to the reverse lights isn't really the point of rear fog lamps.

ideally a switch should be used (with the +12V in coming from the front fog leads)--- or if too lazy to do a switch, just tap directly in to the front fog leads..

The euro version doesn't have rear side markers nor rear side reflectors--

It would be great to have bright fogs in the rear for when people get too close! Flip a switch and blind them...only a little right?ha!

Looks like the US version to me? I see some side markers there.

Anyway, anyone thought of drillling some holes into those "fake reflectors" directly above the reversing lights? they look similar to the LED ones used for the brake lights. any after market lights for them?

I think putting something where the red reflectors are would be pretty cool
