Manybrews- Then you definately didnt have the issue. I now have a 40ms delay which is completely acceptable and seems to be the norm. Also if I watched the tach during the attempted acceleration in 2nd on a slow rollthe RPMs would actually drop before going up.

I drove a 2007 Corolla which was very similar to how the outlander is now. My brother in laws Lexus is somewhere in the middle.
Keep in mind that I also have another US manufacture drive by wire car and dont have any delay at all.

I have a Sept 2006 ES build and the same problem. However, TSB only says 7Z021125 mine is 7U005195. I brought it into Capitol Mitsubishi in San Jose, CA and they would not fix my problem. We even had a mechanic test drive it. He definately noticed the lag and then all the power hit at once but he says it's just the computer waiting to downshift. I told him that even though it's electronic throttle it the power should not cut off then hit all at once but should be some what smooth. They were saying that another customer had one reflashed and brought it back with more problems and they ended up switching out the throttle body.
They refused to even hook up my outlander to the computer to check the software and would only do so if I agreed to a $110 hr charge! After about 30 mins of arguing I left. You guys have any suggestions what I should do next?
