the fluid is only 30000km old. when I changed it I didn't do a flush, just a drain and fill. If I remember correctly I put 8 litres back in. Maybe I'll check that fluid again to make sure the level is topped up.

Default How much came out?

A drain and fill is sufficient for most modern transmissions. did you measure the quantity that came out? It's very important to keep it at the correct level, neither too high nor too low. 8 liters seems like a lot to refill. My sienna has a 4 liter drain/fill on a 16 liter total system. The 2007+ outlander has a similar amount. 8 seems very high as most of the fluid remains in the torque converter and lines. you really just change what is in the pan and that is not very much.

Yeah I jacked up one side of the car extra high and managed to get quite a bit more fluid out through the drain hole.

Also, this is a 2004 I'm talking about.

hehe. Yeah filled it level. I've looked at the dipstick a little while ago and if I remember, with the engine running it was somewhere between the two indicators. Should I get some more fluid and get it right to maximum line?
