Default 2.2 Balance Shaft removal Kit.

Hello everyone.

I would just like to offer my assistance as I am the seller of the Balance shaft removal kit for the 2.2 DID Mitsubishi engine.

We have sold a large number of these kits without a single issue and hugely cheaper than replacing the system with the upgraded parts which suffer the same issue they are meant to repair.

The ebay item number is

353867794201

the postage is set to worldwide and we have plenty of stock.

I personally am using my third outlander on a 2016 registration and I have fitted the kit to all of my outlanders and not suffered any issue as a result of removing the faulty balance shaft system.

If you want to save yourself a good £2500 then this is a good option for you.

Thank you.

Has anybody used this kit? Would be nice to hear some feedbacks. For example, how long time it takes to remove balancing shaft and install oil plug, as well as what is the result.

It is claimed (on the eBay page for item 353867794201) that 4N14 engines after 2018 have no balancing shaft. Is this true?

EDIT: Not true. seem that 2018 still have the same balancing shaft. Also, I am not sure that diesel Outlander models are produced after the 2018 at all, at least they are not sold here in Sweden.

But still, I know that people do remove b. shaft. Interesting if this worth it.

The Engine was still used up to 2020 here in Australia.

The balance shaft is the same, but the coupler and drive convertor are modified. This entails using a modified timing case , as the convertor is larger

hi DJ,

Does 4n14 engine in australia have the same issues? Given that it has slightly different configuration. I’ve got 2017 outlander 4n14 with 217k kms and it has a ticking/rattling noise on cold start and goes away when engine temp is warm to normal OR with higher revs(1300rpm).
