Default 2.2 Diamond Clutch slip

Hi all
I have a 57 plate 2.2 Diamond with 58k now on the clock
It had the clutch replaced under warranty at 31k as it had slip at about 2k rpm underload. It now is doing the same again! its no longer under warranty etc. (never worn a clutch out in my entire driving career before !!!)
I have heard of this issue on several other cars using this 2.2 engine and also another thread mentions the same slip at 2k rpm on a 2.0l unit.
does anyone know if there is a DMF (dual mass flywheel) delete kit or an uprated clutch cover and friction plate avaialble?
Mitsubishi are quoting £900 just for the parts !!
any info or help gratefully received

Have a read of this (its a long one!)

http://forums.preloved.co.uk/fuseact.../fd6e5986.html

I read it before I bought my Citreon C-Crosser (same as the Outie and the 4007) but still went ahead.

Once the citreon warranty is out, ill be getting a third party warranty.

Thanks for the reply
I have read that forum and taken in what was said. My last clutch was quite clean no contamination and tbh very little wear it was even quite clean for a 32k clutch. I really think that the clutch is just not man enough and its now 7 months out of warranty so I just need to be able to uprate the clutch. I may try and get the pug clutch if it is definatly an uprated one!

thanks again

Cedric
