Default 2.4 Takeda Intake Installed

I purchased a Takeda intake for the Lancer GTS assuming that it would fit the Outlander 2.4L. Sure enough, it fits just fine. I've only had it on for a day, so i'll provide updates later on, but so far no check engine light or any codes thrown.

Installation:
- Install was easy - took about 30 minutes because the air intake pipe on the throttlebody was very tight
- The fitment of the takeda intake is pretty good - not nearly as nice as top-end brands like Volant or something, but it's not bad at all.
- There's a thread on 9glancers about fixing fitment issues - the only problem i did have was with the PVC grommet. i ended up going to canadian tire to pickup a universal 1/2" grommet which worked well.

Performance:
- no change to throttle response - probably because the CVT tends to take the fun out of driving.
- the intake noise is much louder - but i'm a light-foot so it won't make much difference to me. You'll have to rev to 3000rpm to start hearing a rumble.

Ongoing:
The snorkel on the intake is interestingly designed. If anyone here has time, you can follow it to an opening under the plastic cover at the front of the car (it's held in by 4 or 5 plastic clips). At that point, it's totally blocked by another piece of plastic. I may remove the restriction later on which would create a true ram air intake. My guess is Mitsu put this on to reduce the amount of crap that flows into the filter.

Just a quick update:
No noticeable change to fuel mileage i'm still very close to my average 12.5 kM/L (approx: 29.4 mpg). It's only been a few days so i'll post another update later one.

Sound starts to increase above stock levels at about 2500 rpm (not 3000 like i had stated earlier). I did notice that around 2000 rpm at half throttle it sounds smoother than before; more of a rumble than the gurgling that it used to do. When romp on the gas, it gets loud. Roaring loud. But since i don't do this often it's fine - my wife actually thought something was wrong with the car when she heard it.

Merging onto the highway i have a slight uphill grade for my commute. The intake feels like it gives me more oomph during acceleration between 80 - 120 km/h. It doesn't feel like a rocket, but it certainly doesn't feel like it's struggling anymore.
