2003 Outlander A/C problem
Hello there,
I'm new here and hope someone might be able to help me out. My A/C wasn't working so I figured I needed to recharge it. I got one of those recharge kits at Wal-Mart and filled it up. After I was done I heard a hissing sound and opend the hood only to see all my hard work blowing out a small hole in the top of the compressor.
I'm attaching a picture to show where the coolant was coming out of.
It just looks like there is a hole in the top of the nut there. All the coolant came out of the hole and the A/C doesn't work.
Do I have to replace the whole compressor or can I buy the stupid little nut. If that doesn't work how about a little JB Weld on top of it to keep the gas in?
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
