Default 2007 - XLS Rear Entertainment/DVD Audio Question

I just purchased a 2007 Outlander XLS with a third row seat and rear entertainment/DVD console but NOT the navigation system. The RES came with two IR headphones that work great, but I have been unable to find any other method for streaming audio from the dvd player, ie over the system's radio...is there any other way to play the audio? Or am I doomed to buying more headphone sets for the third row passengers?

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!

Might be able to help, use the DVD remote to channel your audio using the front radio. Turn on DVD and radio, press SOURCE on remote and wait for the radio to display rear (ie DVD input) then sound should come through the speakers (btw this is from an Australian Spec Outlander VRX which equivalent to the US spec XLS).

Hope this would help,

According to the owner's manual, if you hold down the CD/SAT button for more than two seconds, it will switch to the rear entertainment system as the sound source.
