The question I have though: Is there anything else better on the market that lasts longer and maybe gives better braking performance? I wouldn't mind spending a bit more, in the end I save some money by changing the brakes less often. If there is, what should I buy and from who? I would prefer a Canadian shop since buying from the USA might add some extra brokerage fees, but depending on the price, I might order from the USA too.

Thank you.
If you are looking for top of the line Braking Performance Rotors and Pads go EBC or Brembo. I am Currently Using the EBC Carbon Sport Rotors and their top of the line Greenstuff pads, the difference is night and day compared to stock. Never going back.

If you want affordable but still better compared to stock check Rockauto.com

I just switched all rotors and pads on my vehicles including my 2008 Outlander to Centric C-Tek Standard rotors Centric C-Tek Ceramic pads. Very reasonably priced on Rockauto. Great stopping power and wear comparable to OEM(which lasted years). I think I did the front pads at the 4 year mark and just did the rear's at the 8 year mark.

Oh and even with shipping(Rockauto quotes all in fees including brokerage) you'll still be getting a better price than local in most cases. If the price locally is better than Rockauto the parts are either 1) on sale 2) complete ****.
