2009 outlander has conked out, think it’s ran out of fuel even though it’s saying it has 45 mile range. Spluttered and lost power then died. I’ve been told to use the balloon pump to get the fuel pumping through but can’t find it any where. Does anyone know the hand pump primer location?

 

I know that Pajero has prime pump, but never heard about it in Outlander. In my 2013 2.2DiD model there is none. Although, sure, it would be great to have it

Disconnect in- and oultet hoses from the filter, fill it with diesel (with a syringe or other hand pump), as well as fill outlet hose (the one which goes to engine) as much as you can. Then starting engine up will be easier.
