Question 2009 outlander fuel economy

Hi i've got a 2009 outlander 2.0 di-d and full tanked it with diesel and the on board computer is saying a range of 340 miles, is that correct? i'm a bit shocked with the economy

Ive found that the distance to empty is very sensitive. It can very wildly depending on how you are driving at that time. I've left my house with 3/4 tank and it said 200 miles, but after driving on the highway for 10 min, it jumps to 350. I use it as a suggestion for distance left. Don't use it as a definitive fuel gauge.

I drive very sensibly, my racing around days are long gone. I think I'm just disappointed with the economy I was expecting around 400-450 miles from a 60L tank

What is the mileage on your Outlander? What maintenance service have your performed to it? Have you checked your Tire Pressure, Alignment, Wheel Balance, you can also do a fuel system cleaning, clean the throttle as well.

Like I said, don't go just by that display. My gas outlander can go 400 miles easy on a tank. Yours should have no problem going that far.

Go one full tank and take your miles driven and divide it by how much your tank took to fill and that is a way more reliable way of determining gas mileage.

Thanks for the replies, I will get a carbon clean done at the next service and see if that helps.
