Default 2010 XLS Bluetooth Issue

I recently bought a 2010 XLS (in Canada) and have been having some trouble with the output of the bluetooth system (connected to an iphone 3g).

The system seems to work very well but only outputs the call audio through the front right passenger speaker. The audio output is also at a low volume and when I turn up the sound to hear better, there is a cyclical clicking sound.

I called the dealer`s service department and they said there was a way to get the output out of the left, right, or both speakers, but told me they didnīt know how to program it.

Also, the Canadian model did not seem to come with bluetooth media streaming or USB drive.

Has anybody had any similar issues? Any solutions?

I'm in Canada and recently got an XLS and I'm having the same issue. I brought it to the dealer and they replaced the bluetooth module but I still have the issue.

I think it's actually worse with the new module. On the old one I didn't notice the clicking until the volume was at 30 or so, noo I notice it in the early 20's. The problem is that when driving, in order to hear the person on the other end, the volume has to be set to at least 30, maybe higher.

Please let me know if you find a way to get the hands free to come from more speakers.

When I called the dealer they said that when u press the tuning button and hold for several seconds, a menu will come up that will allow you to change the Bluetooth output. However, I haven't been able to find this menu. I will be going to the dealer on Friday and will let you know.
