Standard Japanese convex mirror installed up front as to see incoming traffic at the very narrow cross road in Japan. Also useful to check blind spot before the advent of electronic. (These are mandatory in Japan).

I lived there for a while.

You get enough power if you step on it, but it makes the awful noise so you have to keep the balance. Other than that I love the pretty good mileage. Had the se 2wd for a week now, about 500mi

Default Outlander sport rear bumper protection/bar

Does anyone know is there any protection available for the rear bumper?
Single tube or anything like that? I have to protect it from bad New York drivers.

Thanks!

I test drove SE version and it was pretty loud We ordered it anyway. I wish that panoramic roof could open but what can we do. Still looks cool.
Love the 4WD feature.

Default 2000 miles on awd se and love it

I have been reading a lot of your posts about the mitsu outlander sport. I did a lot of research before buying my 2011 se awd cvt. Here's the deal:

The cons:

Engine noise is a little high because of the cvt, the rpms stay up while it is accelerating. At first it seemed loud, but has quieted down a lot.

The pros:

- Great options for the money, there's nothing even close to the value
- 2.0l engine with 148 h[ has plenty of acceleration, it doesn't feel fast, but if you look at the 0-60 times for cars in its class it is faster even giving up 20-30 hp to all of them.
- great gas milage, I average 27.5 mpg driving to work on backroads.
- Autowipers are fantastic
- heated seats work great
- hands free phone system works great
- ride is just sporty enough (remember this is an suv not a porsche)

All in all this is a great vehicle. Compared to the subaru, ford, chevy, kia, hyundai, and nissan that I test drove, this had it all for the best value.

they are definitly planning a turbo version, the room that they left for it in the engine bay is a dead giveaway.

email if you have any questions.

2011 outlander sport is equipped with 2.0liter inline 4 engine that generates 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque and the fuel economy is about 31 mpg on the highway.

New RVR owner here, love the car! I noticed something on the rear spoiler next to the high-mounted brake light. To the right of this exists a hole, what is that for, breather? Let me know if I should upload a pic.

I think it's for the rear (back up) camera for the models that are equipped with it.

Almost certainly the washer.
The camera is nearly always lower down next to to the licence plate, and it's not a 'hole' it's quite clearly a camera lens !
