Default 2011 Outlander Sport Tire Issue!!!

My wife has a 2011 Outlander Sport we bought her in March of this year. She is nearing 10000 miles. Around 7000 miles her car began saying she had low tire pressure. So I checked them all and one tire was a little low. I filled it up and it was alright for a couple of weeks. It did it again and I filled it again. It is back lit again, but doesn't get noticeably low. Without the car saying it, we wouldn't know.

I am wondering if this can be checked by the dealer and somehow warrantied? There are no nails/holes/cracks/etc. Tires still look new and were rotated only once. Nearing its second rotation.

one other thing to check...whip up some soapy water and douse it around and in the valvestem and watch for bubbles. Maybe a cracked/leaking valvestem.

We took ours in to get balance and rotated. Somehow they managed to break off two of the valvestems.

while you are at it, soap up the whole tire...some leaks can be miniscule and only show themselves with bubbles.

Did the weather turn colder? If so, that's the issue. We've been having cooler temps here in Florida, and I saw the same issue. After the tires warm up, the alert clears. Colder tires lowers the pressure.

Turned out she had a nail on the inner portion of the tire between the treads, which is why I didn't initially see it. I found it rotating the tires.

Not sure where you live, but if in USA, PEP boys will fix tires for free if you have one of their rewards cars. I always take the wheel off the car and take it there - they usually fix in less than 5 mins.
