Default 2011 outlander timing chain

Vehicle will crank but not start. I scanned for DTCs and found none stored in ecm. Verified that engine is getting fuel and has ignition. Pulled all 4 spark plugs and performed static compression test on all 4 cylinders. Cyl # 1=30psi Cyl # 2=50psi Cyl #3 = 70psi Cyl #4 =80psi. Engine is very low on compression. My assumption is that the timing chain has jumped a few teeth. We would need to remove valve cover and visually inspect condition of timing chain. We could also perform cylinder leak down to see if major engine damage has occurred. Agree/disagree?

honestly I wouldn’t bother with a leak down as the first go to. Get a boroscope and take a look in the cylinders. A bent valve is going to be incredibly easy to see. Check all the valves in all the cylinders and look at the piston tops. 30 minutes and you’ll know where the head stands. I would definitely start with cylinder 1 since it seems most likely to be trouble. Otherwise yeah definitely sounds like a timing issue.
