2011 Outlander: USB stick always starting on first song
 

2011 Outlander

I like to use the USB stick input as I can load up a few hundred songs at a time.

The issue suddenly is that as soonas I turn off the car and then restart it the first song on the USB stick isselected not the last one played.

In other words, if I turned off thevehicle while playing song number 123 I would expect the next time I use the USB song number124 being played and not start all over again at number one.

I looked in the manual and can’tseem to find a solution to this.

Hope I am explaining the issue clearly.

Any help is appreciated.

I have spent a fair amount of time on this problem, and for my 2020 Outlander, none of the above solutions worked, but the answer so far seems to be that it remembers and resumes the last song on usb 2.0 drives, but not usb 3.0. Unfortunately, usb 2.0 ultrafits, which are nice because they don't stick out or require a cable, are a bit hard to find, but there are still some available on Amazon. I've had success with 32G EMC and Sandisk drives, also assorted smaller ones. No kudos to Mitsubishi for lackluster support of newer USB technology.
