Default 2012 Outlander sport Antifreeze smell?

So we have a new Outlander Sport that now has around 6k miles on it. I keep smelling antifreeze when I walk pass the front of the truck. I brought it back to the dealer at 3k for this problem and they said " its probably the aluminum block smell because its so new" I threw up the BS flag and explained I've been a motorcycle mechanic for over 25 years and antifreeze smells like antifreeze.

Anyway is anyone else having this issue? No signs of leaks but the res tank is at the bottom of its level. (Just above the low mark)

Thanks,
Tim

Make the idiots do a cooling system pressure test.

Mitsu pays full list price for warranty work. The idiot dealer is just too lazy to do the warranty paperwork.

I can't believe how stupid and lazy these dealers are.

My favorite line is "they all do that". My answer is "you mean that they actually paid someone to design this to (insert problem here).

I know It seems they blow things off hoping it will go away. I'm going there today to have them reprogram a key that stopped working so ill ask abut the pressure test.
Thanks!

Well time to find new dealer. They blew it off again. They said they did a coolant pressure check only after I asked if they did. I don't believe they had the time to do it. I talked to another dealer who seemed more interested so I'm heading that way.

Hope they find your issue. If they do, I'd definitely call MMNA customer service and let them know.
