If you have an android smart phone, check this out:

You can update maps to "yesterday" for free and the voice guidance is superior to Mit's., IMO.
Not only that, but on our local roads in Edmonton, we get an alarm for exceeding the speed limit.
On the rather infrequent occasions when we need an up-to-the-moment GPS tracking, "Here" is the way we go.
