Default 2014 V6 AWD noise

I replaced my '13 RVR that was totaled with a '14 Outlander V6.

When in LOCK mode, and sometimes in normal AWD mode, I get a clicking sound from the rear end when doing a slow speed turn, usually from a stop and then turn as in leaving a driveway. This is on pavement or even gravel. Once the turn is straighten out, and going straight, the noise goes away and is not heard. I do not hear it at speed, but am not turning sharply either.

When in AWD-E mode (eco?? I am still learning this vehicle) there is no noise. But it is mainly Front Wheel Drive at that point.

I had it at Mitsu for some recall notices, and they said it was normal to hear that from time to time.

Is this normal? Or not really? I never heard anything with the RVR.

Thank you.

Hello,

I have a 2014 Outlander GT that had similar problems. There was a click and rumble-strip feeling when turning while awd was on. It turned out to be an issue with the electronic coupler for the rear differential.

In other words, not normal.
