Default 2015 Highlander aftermarket HID Kit question

My wife has a 2015 Outlander which is before the facelift not the newer led equipped ones. Her biggest complaint are the headlights so I bought her a Morimoto H7 XB Led headlight bulb set which don't fit since what actually locks the bulb in place is the oem bulb socket that locks into the headlight and holds the bulb in place. Has anyone found a solution to make an aftermarket bulb fit in there? There's not much information out there for Mitsubishi so I'm hoping you guys have come upon this already.

Crapper sorry Outlander not Highlander can't figure out how to change title

I found these on Amazon. The product is for Hyundai but the reviews say they work with Outlanders. I plan on picking up a pair soon to install HIDs on my 2016.

Sounds like you have the H7 Halogen bulbs as OE on your Outlander ( my SE has them as well. If I understand you correctly...you need to install a upgraded harness to get these to fit?. I just installed some Sylvania Xtravision H7's on my Outlander..fit perfectly... nice and bright...identical size and style as OE. These are regular Halogen bulbs.. that are what the light housing is designed for.

From what I understand, installing any other type of bulb requires an upgrade. Perhaps other members have more info.

Best of luck

If those don't work you can get amazing quality bulbs like these(that will make a huge difference):

Osram Night Breaker Laser H7 Car Headlight Bulbs | PowerBulbs

Philips RacingVision H7 Car Headlight Bulbs (Twin) | PowerBulbs

Thanks just I've been spoiled by cars with high end hid systems or full blown hid retrofits in my last couple of cars and my explorer which has pretty good led bulbs so I'm trying go for a little more clarity than those bulbs even though without a projector i know the headlight are going to have severe limitations. It's a lease sobI don't want to do a full blown retrofit even though some TL projectors with some Gatling shrouds are very tempting.

I just received them today as they ship from china and unfortunately it's 19degrees with a cutting wind as soon as it warms a little I'll try to install them.

So I finally got around to trying these and they do work. I had to cut and sand it down to make it fit with my bulb as I used morimoto led bulbs that have a massive heat sync in the rear. Not much to them just a plastic piece with a gap so u can slide ur bulb through it. Mine came with 4 pieces pretty sturdy as I held it with a vice as I cut it with a hack saw and it didn't crack.

The headlight is is so big I was able to stuff everything into the headlight but now I'm worried about how hot the heat syncs get if they might melt the wires if it accidentally touches. Sucks that it's winter it's hard to get creative this time of year.
